The Foundation
Performance was almost inevitable for Melissa; she grew up with generations of artists, each with years of expertise for her to learn from. Not only did her family offer their personal knowledge, they understood the importance of formal training and supported a lifetime of schooling and private tutors.
The Frontier
An accomplished actor, singer, accompanist and a fixture in the Minneapolis music scene, Melissa is always up to something new. Recently she’s been a featured performer playing piano and singing jazz favorites at Dangerfield’s, linking up with some of Minnesota’s most creative musical forces.
The Future
Melissa is working behind the scenes on a project bringing together local jazz, blues, funk, and other musicians to lay down something truly home-grown and unique.
